Avril Lavigne Just Got The Sweetest Birthday Message From Her Boyfriend

Avril Lavigne is the undisputed pop-punk princess, and it seems as though she has found the perfect prince. Her beau Mod Sun just proved he is the ideal guy with the sweetest birthday message.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate Avril’s birthday yesterday, he shared some cute pics of the pair and the loveliest message ever.

Captioning the post, and calling Avril his “soulmate”, Mod Sun continued to gush about the singer by saying: “The most radiant + graceful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on, you have made my dreams come true in so many ways.“

But, oh, it doesn’t end there, the American singer and songwriter went on to continue by saying:

“You are my calm in the chaos + my shelter from the storm. You are elegance + rock n roll wrapped up in one body. I was born without you, dying to find you, I’ll always remind you….I love you with all my heart @avrillavigne + the best is yet to come. Happy birthday my little icon.”

A man who is certainly good with words.

Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, met Avril while working on her new album in December 2020. The pair released the duet “Flames” in January 2021.

Things moved quickly after that, with Mod Sun getting Avril’s name tattooed on his neck that February. Despite this, they never confirmed their relationship.

The next couple of months passed in a haze of outings and double dates with Mod Sun’s best friend Machine Gun Kelly and GF Megan Fox.

And then finally, Avril and Mod Sun finally went Instagram official in April 2021, and ever since, they’ve been sharing cute messages with each other on their socials and looking fabulous on the red carpet as a duo.
