Awks! Little Mix’s Performance Got Pulled Off The Air After Perrie’s On Stage Gaffe
The set was pulled from a live broadcast on Radio 1 and BBC iPlayer.
Little Mix may be known for their raunchy outfits and equally raunchy lyrics, but it was Perrie’s choice of language that saw the band’s set get pulled off air over the weekend.
Little Mix were performing their song Get Down And Dirty at Radio 1’s Big Weekend when Perrie shouted “F*ck that Get Down And Dirty.”
The performance, which was being live-streamed on Radio 1 and BBC iPlayer, was then pulled off air, with DJ Matt Edmondson telling listeners “Apologies there. Sincere apologies for any bad language you might have heard.
“That was not intended to go out on the radio,” he added. “We apologise if you’re offended by that. We’re going to dip out of their set for a little while now.”
Fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations about the decision, calling it an overreaction.
“Wow so Perrie swore. Big whoopee do! Why are people making such a big deal out of it? Just Pathetic,” wrote one Little Mixer.
