Bella Hadid Was Reunited With The Weeknd On The VS Catwalk And Things Got Awkward

Bumping into an ex always seems to happen at the most ridiculous of moments, usually when you’ve just popped out to Tesco to grab a ready meal for one and are looking flawless in fluffy socks, tracksuit bottoms and zero make-up. It’s as if the Relationship Gods plan it like that for a laugh.

Bella Hadid must have been counting her lucky stars last night then, because she happened to be looking downright perfect for her first public post break-up meeting with The Weeknd since their split last month. The former couple shared the catwalk at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show last night, where The Weeknd performed for the second time, and Bella made her VS debut.

We’re not ones to promote the notion of getting a “revenge body” á la Khloé Kardashian, but if that’s what Bella was aiming for, she certainly pulled it off. Giving her ex a subtle smile as she sashayed past him in a dusky blue corset and sleeved cape, the model clearly knew her ex couldn’t keep his eyes off her.

Earlier in the week, an eagle-eyed fan posted this screengrab from Australian model Kelly Gale’s Snapchat, in which Bella can be seen looking at a photo of what appears to be herself and The Weeknd kissing. We’ve all been there, right?

The annual Victoria’s Secret show is the ultimate coup for any catwalk model, and the pre-show fitness and diet regimes are notoriously intense. Bella got herself ready for her debut by eating mainly “hard protein” and fitting in three hours of intense workouts and HIIT boxing every day.

“My weight fluctuates so much. I really didn’t mean to [lose weight],” she told People. “I worked out so hard and everybody is like, ‘Oh she looks so skinny blah, blah, blah, but I think that if you just stick to something you can really achieve so much. I’ve been eating hard protein every day, and working out for three hours every day. It’s crazy but I think that you know if you set your mind to something I think you can succeed.”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight before the show, the model said there was no bad blood between herself and her ex, adding that the pair were “still great friends” and that they would be “celebrating together” with a gang that evening. Or y’know, just the two of them, maybe…
