Britney Spears Has Revealed Why Her Carpool Karaoke Experience Was So Super Awkward

While Britney Spears may well be the queen of pop (and shade) there was something about her recent Carpool Karaoke experience that didn’t sit too well with fans.

Um, like the miming for the one and the uncomfortable chitchat with James for another.

But now Brit has revealed that the experience didn’t just look awkward on screen, it was actually really unpleasant in real life too.

Chatting to KTU 103.5 GM’s Cubby and Carolina Bermudez, Brit basically said that filming the segment was a bit of a buzz kill.

“It was a little awkward, like, driving by grocery stores,” she said. “People walk by and there are like 18 cameras around us. This is just so awkward.”

She wasn’t keen on the song choices either, revealing that she’s more than a little tired of hearing Baby One More Time and Oops!… I Did It Again.

“Oh, my God, and [James] kept playing them,” she said. “He put a wig on for it. Yeah, I totally went along with it.

“Sometimes I got on to him and said, ‘I don’t want to hear that song again’,” she adds. “They probably didn’t show that part.”

On the upshot though, Brit did have *some* complimentary things to say about James.

“The guy was incredibly sweet,” she told the radio station. “I had no idea he has kids, he’s a teddy bear. I was like, ‘I just want to hug you right now.'”

Nawwww. That’s super cute, but somehow we don’t see a blossoming celebrity friendship between Britney and James anytime soon.
