Brooke Shields has come out with high praise for Bradley Cooper, who she says was there for her during a traumatic experience.

The Pretty Baby actress opened up in an interview with Glamour about when she had a grand mal seizure.

Brooke told of being at a New York restaurant just before a performance of her one woman musical, Previously Owned.

She said that the seizure was caused by low sodium levels, and how frightening it was in the moment.

“Everything starts to go black,” she explained, “then my hands drop to my side and I go headfirst into the wall.”

She continued to share that she was “frothing at the mouth, totally blue, trying to swallow my tongue.” Terrifying.

However, poor Brooke wasn’t alone throughout the scary experience; former co-star Bradley Cooper appeared to comfort her.

Huffington Post reports that when a sommelier at the restaurant tried to reach her husband, Chris Henchy, the word spread to Bradley’s assistant, who happened to be nearby where Brooke was dining.

Bradley then rushed to help his friend as soon as he could.

Musing over the surreality of it all, Brooke told Glamour,”I thought to myself, This is what death must be like. You wake up and Bradley Cooper’s going, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital with you, Brooke,’ and he’s holding my hand,” she shared.

“And I’m looking at my hand, I’m looking at Bradley Cooper’s hand in my hand, and I’m like, ‘This is odd and surreal.'”

We can’t even imagine!

Though she acknowledged that it was a bizarre situation looking back, Brooke admitted her fear in the moment stopped her from thinking of anything but the seizure.

“I didn’t have a sense of humour…I couldn’t really get any words out.”

Bradley and Brooke are friends from a previous film, The Midnight Meat Train.

We’re glad that Brad was there to support her – what a gem!
