Calling All True Crime Fans! Netflix’s ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ Is About To Drop This Week
The first six episodes are set to be thrilling
If you’re a big true crime fan, you may or may not remember the documentary series ‘Unsolved Mysteries‘. Just one listen of the theme song will transport you right back to the 90s, when the series was at it’s most popular.
Well, luckily for us, the show is getting a modern reboot, and will be available to stream on Netflix very soon. Here’s everything we know about the show so far.
What will Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries be about?
Much like the OG show, the docu-series reboot will explore unsolved mysteries both new and old from around the world. Ranging from stories like the disappearance of a loved one to a brush with the paranormal, unlike many true crime shows, this one is relying on the audience to get involved.
“Alongside detectives and journalists, family members offer clues, present theories, and identify suspects, hoping one viewer holds the key to solving the mystery,” Netflix has said.
It’s believed that the original series helped to solve close to 300 cases so far, so who knows how many more can be concluded with the new series.
What cases will be covered in the new series?
So far the titles of the first six episodes have been released.
-‘Mystery on the Rooftop’ – The case of a missing newlywed whose body was found dead in a hotel in Balitmore.
-‘13 Minutes’ – The story of a missing hairdresser who vanished in broad daylight, leaving behind a young son.
-‘House of Terror’ – A french woman is discovered buried underneath the porch of her home by her husband.
-‘No Ride Home’ – A 23-year-old man never returns home from a party he went to with friends.
-‘Berkshire’s UFO’ – Residents of Berkshire Massachusetts share their story of seeing a UFO in the 1960s.
– ‘Missing Witness’ – A stepdaughter confesses to helping her mother dispose of her dead stepfather’s body when she suddenly goes missing.
When can we watch it?
Unsolved Mysteries will be released on Netflix this coming Wednesday, the 1st of July, with the first six episodes listed above dropping. With 12 episodes in total being released, the further 6 will be available to stream later in the year.
