There’s been a whole lot of surprising celeb news lately, from Rihanna announcing her pregnancy to the news of Chrishell Strause and Matthew Morrison’s previous engagement, but Calvin Harris’ recent career change has to be right up there at the top of the list.

He’s best known for hits such as Girls, Acceptable in the 80s and many more, but now it seems the popular DJ is leading a much quieter life.

After selling his multi-million-pound mansions in LA a couple of years ago, Calvin has moved to Ibiza and swapped his decks for dungarees: apparently spending his time farming. Yep, you heard that right.

It’s been reported that he bought Ibiza’s largest organic farm, a 138-acre farm on the White Isle. On top of that, a source revealed to The Irish Sun: “Calvin employs an expert team including farmers and chefs.

“But that hasn’t stopped him getting involved and he regularly gets his hands dirty, helping to plant seeds and everything else involved in running a farm. He is really passionate about what he and the team are doing.”

But it’s not completely out of the blue, after two of his big collaborations were pulled last minute in 2019 he became a big fan of gardening. At the time, he shared: “I thought, ‘That’s two songs that have fallen through now — maybe I need to do a little bit of gardening’.

“So I grew a few carrots, a few celeries and eventually I have come back to a place where I wanted to make something, especially after last year, that was relentlessly positive.”

Yep, quite the career change alright.
