Carole Baskin Is Delighted That Joe Exotic Wasn’t Pardoned By Donald Trump

Here's what she had to say

Earlier this week prior to Donald Trump’s exit from the White House, attention turned to Trump using his final hours in office to pardon people – meaning that they will be free from federal criminal conviction.

It wasn’t long before good ol’ Joe Exotic was trending on Twitter, with both Tiger King lovers AND Joe’s legal team convinced that the flamboyant cowboy would be on Trump’s list, with a limousine and a hair stylist already on stand-by.  Joe is currently serving 22 years in federal prison for animal abuse and murder for hire charges against Carole Baskin.

Luckily, or unluckily depending on which side of the fence you’re on, Joe wasn’t on the 140 person long list to be pardoned, which was announced yesterday. This means that despite the world’s certainty, the big cat lover will be remaining behind bars for quite some time to come.

Exotic’s nemesis, Carole Baskin (you said it in his voice, didn’t you?) has shared her delight with TMZ upon the news, saying that she’s ‘thankful’ for the outcome.

“If I understand the notice I got from the prison system, he’s already gotten another month added to his sentence by not obeying prison rules,” she said.

“If Joe really had a change of heart, he could do what Mario Tabraue did to lessen his 100 year drug trafficking conviction to 12 years by turning state’s evidence against the other animal exploiters,” she added.

Some of the people who were lucky enough to be granted clemency from Trump include Lil Wayne, Steve Bannon, and Kushner.

Oh well, maybe next time Joe, eh?
