Tissues at the ready!

Cecelia Ahern has announced she will be releasing a sequel to her hit novel PS, I Love You and we can’t wait to sob uncontrollably.

The first novel was released in 2004 and became an instant success, eventually being made into a Hollywood movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler three years later.

The author announced on Twitter yesterday that a sequel to her hit novel will come out later this year.

“I have BIG NEWS!” she wrote.

“I’ve written the sequel to PS I LOVE YOU – titled POSTSCRIPT.

“POSTSCRIPT will be published September 19th in the UK & Ireland. I hope you’ll welcome back Holly… & Gerry…& that reading it will be as emotional for you as it was for me”.

PS, I Love You tells the story of Holly, a woman whose world is turned upside down when her husband, Gerry, dies. Holly is grief-stricken, but then ten letters from her husband arrive, one for each month, sending her on a new discovery.

We can’t wait to see what Cecelia has planned for Holly and Gerry next!
