Warning: Some readers may find the topics in this article distressing.

Made In Chelsea’s Louise Thompson has shared her joy to be expecting her first child with fiancé Ryan Libbey.

Taking to Instagram, the 30-year-old star shared the news alongside a photo of a birth scan saying:

“I thought I’d have all sorts of creative ways to deliver this information but the truth is the last 12 weeks have been quite challenging. Unlike last time, Ryan and I haven’t documented our journey at all. I’ve hardly taken any pictures or videos for fear that something might happen. I’ve also felt like ASS.”

After suffering a miscarriage earlier this year, Louise admitted that this time she has been moving with caution in order to protect herself and her partner, Ryan.

Admitting that she’s had a lot of sensitive conversations where she tries not to get “too excited”, Louise candidly noted that this journey hasn’t been an easy one to date and she even thought about holding off announcing her pregnancy for longer, but with her growing bump she’s already received comments from people asking if she was indeed, pregnant.

“I want to try to relax a smidge and to be able to enjoy the journey as I’m informed it will be over in a flash. The truth is I might have waited a little longer to share but I don’t think I could have hidden the news for much longer because there is absolutely ZERO room left in this 5ft short torso for a growing bump except to push MASSIVELY outwards,” she added.

Speaking out about her devastating miscarriage in March, Louise admitted that she always wanted to be authentic when using social media and felt that it was important to share such a big loss in her life with others.

“I guess it’s also because there is no easy way to say it, nor any way to sugar coat it, but earlier this year we lost our baby and it was HARD and I had no idea that it was possible to love someone that I’d never met quite SO MUCH,” explained Louise.

Adding that she documented a lot of the journey leading up to the loss earlier this year, this time, having suffered such pain in the past, the MIC star is being more cautious for her own wellbeing.

“From the moment I saw the lines on the pregnancy test I started to build an emotional connection and my whole world changed, and for that to be taken away was devastating,” she added.

But now, getting to share her exciting news with the world albeit its challenges is an exciting one for Louise, with the star admitting that her partner Ryan has just been wonderful and supportive during this time too.

Sharing in the good news brother Sam Thompson, as well as celeb friends including Binky Felstead, Zoella and Rosie Fortescue all congratulated Louise online.

A massive congratulations to the pair.
