Katy Perry just got real candid about new parent challenges, while chatting to Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, during the virtual Meditate America event.

“I’m a new mother. My daughter – she’s such a gift – but there is sometimes a challenge concerning sleep! No matter how much support you have,” she told Hugh and Deborra-Lee. “But where am I going to get those six hours that I used to get? Where did it go?”

Katy then spoke about transcendental meditation, and how it helps her sleep. Transcendental meditation, or TM, is a specific form of silent mantra meditation.

“There have been so many different ways TM has blessed me, but in this particular moment, as a new mother, I take 20 minutes,” she said. “Not only do I find the deepest rest that I need, that my body is desperate for – but it feels like I’ve stolen two-plus hours, maybe three hours, from the clock.”

Katy then added that it gives her the “deepest rest” when she’s “desperate for as a reset.”

Since Katy and Orlando Bloom welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom back in August, Orlando has also been sharing some details about their baby daughter.

While speaking to Ellen DeGeneres virtually during her show, Orlando agreed that Daisy looked just like her mam, before continuing to say, “it was funny because when she first came out, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s me! It’s a mini-me.’ And then, fortunately, she got those Katy blues, which was perfect.”

“But then she sort of looks like my mom. So then I got a little confused because Katy’s breastfeeding this mini-me slash my mom… Who’s she gonna look like next?”

Cute!
