Laura Whitmore has confirmed that she will be taking part in Celebrity Gogglebox 2020 alongside her boyfriend, Iain Stirling.

The pair who worked together on the winter Love Island series will be joining forces again for another TV venture as they discuss and debate everything that’s on telly.

Joining the lineup alongside I’m A Celeb’s Roman Kemp, who will take part with his father, Martin Kemp is Joe Swash and his partner, Stacey Solomon, Denise Van Outen and her husband Eddie as well as Harry Redknapp and his wife, Sandra to name a few.

Confirming the news today after speculation that the pair were joining the bill, Laura wrote:

“New Gogglebox coming soon @channel4 (I’m in charge of the remote as you can see) #celebritygogglebox #fromlockdownwithlove.”

As Love Island has been officially cancelled for summer 2020, we’re excited that Laura and Iain will still make an appearance on our screens this year (although we never actually see Iain, just hear him!) Nevertheless, this year’s Celebrity Gogglebox is looking like a good one.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan last month, Laura explained how lockdown has made her appreciate her relationship more as with her usual busy schedule and Iain’s stand-up tours, the pair don’t get to spend as much time together as they’d like.

“I thought we would drive each other crazy. It’s really helping me think, ‘actually, this is a good relationship!’ We like each other. We don’t spend a lot of time together normally,” the Bray native revealed.

Continuing, Laura added that although their loving the time together, like most couples in lockdown it has been a “test”.

“I saw a joke on Instagram that you have Casa Amor [on Love Island], and this is Casa Coronavirus. If you can get through this, you can get through everything,” Laura added.

You can see both of them on your screen for Celebrity Gogglebox starting next month, June 5 on Channel 4.
