Matt Damon Will Be Returning To Dalkey This Summer For A Special Appearance

Lads, he just can't get enough.

It looks as though Hollywood actor and Dalkey stan, Matt Damon will be returning to the Dublin village this June for a very special event.

As a special guest at the Dalkey Book Festival taking place over three days, June 18th – 20th, the Bourne Identity star is set to appear on the third day, June 20th talking to one of the festival’s founders and Irish journalist David McWilliams about his time in Ireland, his clear love for the country and the famous bag of SuperValu cans (which turned out to be beach towels).

As many of you will remember, Mr Damon got stuck here while filming his new flick, The Last Duel during lockdown 1.0.

Spending lockdown in a pretty sweet pad in Dalkey, the star was often spotted around the town including at the bookstore and Country Bake (oh, and SuperValu obv).

Now, returning to the place he once called home for an extended few months, Matt will be coming back to us this month.

The event will also be live-streamed meaning you can get to see the interview take place whether or not you’re planning on attending the event IRL. Tickets can be got here.

Obviously, I’m sure Matt will be asked too about what WhatsApp group chat he’s in too – sending a heap of Hollywood stars our direction this year including Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and Sarah Hyland.
