People magazine’s sexiest man alive accolade is a big deal with previous winners including Idris Elba, Michael B. Jordan, George Clooney, and Matthew McConaughey. And this year, the honour went to none other than Paul Rudd.

The 52-year-old actor was pretty chuffed with himself writing on Instagram, “We’ve been waiting for this one! Paul Rudd named Sexiest man alive of 2021!”

Some believe Paul’s youthful looks helped him win after it became a bit of a meme that he hasn’t aged since his breakout role in the 1995 film Clueless.

Tell us all your secrets, Paul. Drop that skin routine!

The big news was announced on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in which Paul had to undergo a series of hilarious tests to prove his attractiveness.

Paul is taking his new title very serious and might just be letting it go to his head in the best way possible. He told People, “I mean I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like ‘Oh, I’m so modest.’ I’m getting business cards made.”

His wife, Julie Yaeger, is just as thrilled for him, but he admitted she was surprised when she first heard the news.

He explained, “She was stupefied, but you know she was very sweet about it. After some giggling and shock, she said ‘Oh, they got it right.’ And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what’s she going to say?”

As for how the title might change his life, Paul has been considering it a lot.

He confessed, “I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan, and I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”

Oh, we love you, Paul, we do.
