I mean, did we expect anything less?

Multiple tripods, extra lighting, Zoom meetings and an excessive amount of iPhones. That’s basically how the Kardashians are managing to film Keeping Up With The Kardashians during the midst of social distancing practices and stay-at-home orders, having to basically ditch their usual filming crew.

But one thing that’s raising a few eyebrows, that in order to keep filming going, the Kardashians are getting brand new iPhones delivered to their homes weekly. Yep, weekly.

According to Elle, executive producer Farnaz Farjam, at least two episodes of the new season will consist of self-filmed footage. At first, the KarJenners were uploading the footage from their phones to a shared folder.

Until Farnaz came up with another idea. She hired technicians to set up tripods, lighting, the whole shebang (all sterilized equipment, while the technicians were hazmat-ed up).

Talking to Elle, she also dropped that new iPhones are being delivered weekly for filming. “Every Monday, a safely-masked showrunner drops off brand new iPhones to their security teams, and picks up the ones they’ve used to film themselves that week. There’s usually around 16 hours of total footage, which is just enough for the show’s editorial department to string together story lines.”

I mean, we can’t help but think why they didn’t just fork out a bit extra for more memory space? Not that they’re pinching pennies, but a bit mad all the same.

On another note, Kendall and Kris Jenner a producing a brand new reality show, that stars Kendall Jenner’s long lost twin. Yep. You can read everything there is to know on that here.
