‘Stay At Home’ – Blogger Hotspot Dubai Removed From UK’s Safe Travel Zone

The UAE has been pulled from the UK's 'corridor list' following a spike in coronavirus cases.

A topic that has caused great anger and upset over the past eight months, influencers and celebrities flocking to the likes of Dubai and the Maldives during the ongoing pandemic isn’t a rarity.

From reality TV stars to musicians and actors, there’s been no shortage of influential people hopping on a plane, jetting off and showcasing their lavish holiday while we watch on from home.

Most recently Dubai has become a major talking point, primarily because it’s hard to not talk about the large number of celebrities opting to head to the holiday destination in the past couple of months. From the likes of Amber Rose Gill to Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Chloe Ferry, Georgia Harrison and many, many more, celebrities have been seen partying it up in Dubai.

But now, it looks as though things are becoming even more stricter as the UK has removed the UAE from its “safe list” following a spike in coronavirus cases.

Now, those returning from today will have to self-isolate for 10 days as well as receiving a negative test 72 hours before travelling home.

Tweeting the news, transport secretary, Grant Shapps added that people should not be travelling abroad for anything other than “specific reasons”.

Adding that ignoring the rules and travelling for the purposes of a holiday is “inconsiderate and selfish”, the MP continued by saying the only way we can beat the virus is if we all “stay at home. Save lives”.

Recently many bloggers have defended their reasons for travelling, explaining that they’ve been receiving a lot of hate for their decisions, including “death threats”.
