Turns Out This New Love Island Bombshell Also Has Famous Connections

Watch out, Gemma!

The bombshells are beginning to drop at speed, folks.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our first officially dumped Islander, Afia Tonkmor, and welcomed two new Islanders who’ll be joining the show from Tuesday night.

Jay Younger and Remi Lambert are certainly going to ruffle a few feathers – Davide, Andrew, we’re looking at you in particular, as they join the villa and the quest for love.

28-year-old Jay, who is an investment analyst from Edinburgh admitted that similar to Gemma, he also has a claim to fame that just so happens to be of Liverpool FC notability. Speaking to ITV during his first interview, Jay said:

“My grandad played for Liverpool and he was captain of Scotland back in the 1950s. He was in the hall of fame for Liverpool and he was in the hall of fame for Hibernian F.C.”

Will the pair know each other? Well, if they don’t, since Jay is coming in later, he’s now well aware of Michael Owen being Gemma’s dad, so we’re sure if Jay wants to crack on with the dressage rider, he’s going to bring up their common ground.

As for 22-year-old Remi Lambert, the second bombshell set to drop, since he’s Manchester based he’s decided to enter the show based off Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. Remi admits that he “saw how strong they are together, I thought, ‘I want a love like that’” the Islander admitted.
