Since season three hit Netflix earlier this month, all anyone can talk about is Selling Sunset and I mean, understandably so.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving, even long after the cameras are rolling.

Since binging the latest season, we’ve had Brett Oppenheim leave the agency on Sunset Strip, more information on Chrishell and Justin’s heartbreaking split, Chrissy Teigen questioning the legitimacy of the agency, Christine Quinn teasing her departure and now, confirmation that Mary and Romain’s onscreen wedding wasn’t their first.

In fact, Mary and Romain were married for two years before their wedding aired on season two.

According to US Weekly, the publication has confirmed that Mary and Romain were married when introduced as boyfriend and girlfriend on the show.

Speaking to the publication, a rep for Mary and Romain said: “Mary and Romain had a civil union a couple of months before the show began filming in June of 2018, but they chose not to tell any of their friends or family, as they were still trying to see if their relationship would work out in the long term. In their minds, they weren’t properly married until the wedding that was filmed during the show.”

Showcasing their proposal at the end of season one and subsequently, their wedding at the end of season two, a large part of the storyline in both seasons fixated around Mary and Romain, their hopes to make their relationship work and the large age gap that worried Mary; Romain is 12 years younger than the broker.

However, all seems to be going strong for the pair, having recently partied with colleague and fellow Netflix star, Heather Young, as they celebrated her fiancé’s birthday onboard a yacht.

Heather’s wedding is one we’re sure will play out in season four, whenever we get the green light for that.

The last season ended on Christine’s flamboyant wedding to Christian Richard, a retired multi-millionaire software engineer.

Like Christine, the wedding was fuelled with drama and ended with a spat between Chrishell and Davina, with Davina picking for information on Chrishell’s split, which lead to the star leaving the wedding early.

I don’t know about you, but I love the dramatic show exits, it reminds me so much of The Hills glory days.

Plus, it leaves for a very juicy beginning to season four – bring it on.
