Chrissy Teigen Made A Powerful Speech About Immigrants At A Rally Over The Weekend

Yesss Chrissy!

Chrissy Teigen really can do no wrong. She speaks up for what she believes in with passion and confidence and that’s exactly what she did at the Families Belong Together rally in Washington on Saturday.

The rally was held to protest against the Trump administration’s strict immigration policies.

The past couple of weeks has been pretty horrific in America as Trump and his government have been separating thousands of children from their families along the US-Mexican border, leading to nationwide complaints.

Chrissy took the podium with her 6-week-old child strapped to her chest to introduce her husband John Legend but first spoke about the virtues of immigrants in America.

“I’m incredibly proud to be a daughter of an immigrant. My mother grew up in a very small village in,” she said.

We love that the American story is filled with people who come from all over the world to have a better life here. America at its best is big, beautiful, and diverse. It’s not small, it’s not petty, and it’s not exclusive, like Mar-a-Lago.”

“Making America great doesn’t mean building walls to keep people out; it means continuing to embrace the dreams of immigrants who add to our culture, our economy, and our humanity,” she added.

During her speech, she also did a hilarious impression of Trump who famously blocked her on Twitter.

Can you imagine this city without the contribution of immigrants? How bland, how flavourless LA would be. Too many people demonize immigrants like they’re stealing something from the people who are born here. Immigrants don’t come here to take from us, they add to what makes America special.”

People took to Twitter to praise Chrissy for her wise words.
