If you have ever envisioned yourself as a carefree, independent gal, scouting around the Colosseum (yes, we’re painting a serious Lizzie McGuire movie image here) but you get our drift, well, this scooter has just captured that dream but with a serious Carrie Bradshaw takes Europe vibe and we’re all for it.

Teaming up with Christian Dior to reimagine the 946 vintage scooter with a fashion slant, the limited edition Vespa comes in a gorgeous cream colour with gold detail and Dior motifs all over. From the scooter’s seat to side wrap around the back wheel, this motor is any fash gal’s dream and the most perfect summer accessory.

Christian Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, who is behind the design explained how she brought the scooter to life: “I was very excited about this project with Vespa. For me, Vespa is linked to my city, Rome. It’s linked to the freedom to move around the city with ease, like in the film Roman Holiday, which has left that extraordinary image of Audrey Hepburn clinging to Gregory Peck on a Vespa forever etched in our collective memory.”

Obviously we want all the accessories too – just look at that little luggage box!

Continuing, she explained that this project holds a special place in her heart.

“I have so many happy memories starring a Vespa. It’s how my husband and I used to get around Rome, and go to the seaside in Fregene. It’s a symbol of Italian-ness that is intricately linked to my personal history, and it’s now part of my professional life at Dior.”

The Vespa 946 Dior will be available spring 2021 in Dior boutiques and Piaggio Motoplex stores worldwide.
