Could Harry Styles Be The Star Of Nicholas Sparks’ Next Movie?

Just the other day Nicholas Sparks revealed his ideal casting for a movie adaptation of his latest novel Dreamland, and it looks a certain musician has caught the author’s attention – that being the one and only Harry Styles!!

Speaking on Good Morning America, the novelist opened up about who he thinks should play the lead role of Colby Mills, an aspiring musical theatre star who experiences a tragedy that uproots his future career, but finds solace in the company of Morgan Lee. 

When asked who would play Colby, Nicholas responds by saying, “Well that would be Harry Styles,” adding, “What a great potential person to star in Dreamland.”

Continuing on with his reasoning he said, “You want someone who really does love music and they’re good at it because it’s such an elemental part of this novel.”

In a separate interview on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle, the award-winning author elaborated on his thought process for wanting Harry saying, “He’s coming out in a big movie. It’s obvious the young man can act, and you always want a good actor.”

Of course, fans were thrilled to hear of the possible casting, with one tweeting, “OH HARRY WOULD LOVE THIS,” while another wrote, “Gimme Harry cowboy so I can fulfil my fanfiction dreams.”

While Nicholas believes Dreamland will likely be a movie, he clarified that no contracts involving the singer have been written up, so let’s not get too excited just yet folks!!

It should also be noted that Harry has previously mentioned how huge of a fan he is of, “anything that Nicholas Sparks has ever done,” sharing in a BBC Radio 1 interview that he “always circles back to “The Notebook in particular.

So Nicholas Sparks is on board, and Harry Styles is already a fan… What are we waiting for people?? Let’s get those contracts signed!!!
