Did Ariana Grande Manifest Landing A Role In The Upcoming Wicked Movie?
She’s defying gravity and maybe the laws of nature while she’s at it.

It’s time to get excited because Ariana Grande has just been cast in Universal’s silver screen adaption of the Broadway sensation, Wicked. Soon Ari will be belting out “Popular” as she plays Glinda the Good Witch.
The cast and crew announced that Ariana snagged the role on Thursday, but some fans noticed that Ari has been planning on performing this role for a long time now – 10 years to be precise.

An old tweet from Ariana’s Twitter account recently resurfaced and showed just how long she had been dreaming of the role.
In the tweet, she says: “Loved seeing Wicked again… amazing production! Made me realize again how badly I want 2 play Glinda at some point in my life! #DreamRole”

Ariana has previously spoken about her belief in manifestation, a practice in which your thoughts become your reality, leading fans to believe that this old tweet is proof she manifested the role.
It seems fitting that Ari would dabble with the powers of manifestation to land the witchy role, and to be honest, we couldn’t be happier for her. We just know she’s going to bring such love and talent to bring this character to life.
Ariana will be starring alongside Cynthia Erivo, who will play the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba.

In their Instagram posts announcing the roles, both Ari and Cynthia seemed ecstatic to be joining the film.
Jon M Chu, known for his work on Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights, will be the director of the project.
