“Effective Immediately”: Katie Hopkins Has Been Fired For Controversial And Racist Tweet

Katie Hopkins will no longer host her LBC radio show following her controversial tweet after the Manchester Arena attack on Monday.

Known for her unpopular opinions, Katie said that a “final solution” is needed following the terror attack that killed 22 people, including children.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, read, “22 dead – number rising. Schofield. Don’t you even dare. Do not be a part of the problem. We need a final solution #Manchester.”

The term ‘final solution’ is linked to World War II, as it was used by Adolf Hitler when he decided to carry out an act of genocide, killing millions of jews in Europe. People are disgusted that Katie seemed to suggest that people of Islamic faith should meet the same end.

Complaints were made to the Metropolitan police about the tweet, with a spokesperson saying on Tuesday, “We can confirm that a complaint has been received. As is routine, the allegation will be reviewed and assessed by specialist officers.” Other people reported the tweet to Twitter as being “abusive or harmful”, which is probably why it’s been deleted.

LBC and Katie Hopkins have agreed that Katie will leave LBC effective immediately.

Other people are calling on Katie’s other employer, the Daily Mail, to take the same action. One man tweeted, “Will the Daily Mail now also sack Katie Hopkins? If not, how do they justify employing someone who appears to advocate a Muslim genocide?”

This isn’t a once-off thing either, as Katie previously referred to the Holocaust when discussing the House of Lords. She said, “People like me actually don’t really give a sh*t about the House of Lords because we think they’re actually a bunch of plonkers.

“Frankly, I don’t really mind if we seal up the room and gas the lot of them,” she continued at the UKIP annual party conference in Doncaster in 2015.

Since the news broke about the mother-of-three losing her radio position, she’s tweeted very little. Though what she has said is just as angry and negative as always… “When life gives you lemons, make …..an angry face and tell it to stop being such a twat.”
