End Of An Era – Harry And Meghan Wave Goodbye To Life As Royals With Touching Note

Today is a historic day for the royal family, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle step down from their titles as senior working royals.

Announcing their decision with a statement on January 8, the pair then followed protocol, getting the important blessing from Queen Elizabeth and then, completing their final royal duties.

And although they will still go as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, from today onwards they won’t be allowed to use the word “royal” in any of their work ventures.

Therefore, Harry and Meghan have had to wave goodbye to their account Sussex Royal, which garnered over 11 million followers in the past two years.

Announcing their leave from Instagram, the pair wrote.

“As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile. Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realise the fullness of that promise.”

Continuing, they thanked their community of fans for going on this journey with them so far and then explained their next step.

“As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

Meghan and Harry also eluded to the fact that they’ll be back on Instagram. Saying they look “forward to reconnecting soon”, it seems like they’ll be back in some capacity. Maybe Meghan will revise The Tig?

We’d love to see her back with yogi workouts and shake recipes, mmm.
