Euphoria’s Dominic Fike Confirms Split From Co-Star Hunter Schafer

The Euphoria stars have called it quits

Euphoria stars Dominic Fike and Hunter Schafer have called time on their romance.

The pair met while filming season two of the hit drama, and confirmed their relationship in February 2022, much to fans excitement.

They quickly became one of our favourite couples, with the sweet Instagram stories and adorable red carpet pics. But alas, rumours of a rift began to spread when Hunter unfollowed Dominic in April. And now, Dominic has confirmed their breakup.

Speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the actor confirmed he’s currently single, explaining: “I’m just done being in relationships right now.”

“I’ve always been in these public relationships.”

“It’s not that hard to not date another f**king famous person,” he continued.

The 27-year-old also seemingly referenced Hunter, saying: “Every time I go through a breakup now, I gotta see somebody on a damn billboard.”

While their relationship has ended, the pair will have to work together on season three of Euphoria.

So how does Dominic feel about this? Well…uhh, he was quick to share his excitement for the third installment, sharing how he was looking forward to working on the show now that he is sober, but he also made reference to some awkwardness with someone on set

“I have a better dynamic with everybody…well, almost everybody,” he said. Although it is possible he was referring someone else on the show’s massive cast and crew.

Although Dominic didn’t directly share the reason for their split, he did speak about why past relationships have ended.

Agree with Zane about how love is often wrongfully seen as needing someone, the musician explained: “That has actually bled into my romantic relationships, that kind of dynamic and it is often the cause of the end of my relationship.”

Dominic also addressed their relationship saying: “I could make music around her, which was crazy.”

“I was looking through songs the other day and found one that I made with her. I was like, ‘Man, that was so cool.’ But the fact of me saying that—of being uncomfortable being alone—that’s a bad thing. So I decided to just be alone for a while.”

The star also revealed he is “trying to be abstinent” at the moment.
