Do you reckon they'd adopt us?

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s family have been back in the limelight ever since Ryan’s fabulous role as Ken in Barbie.

People have been wanting to know more about the famous parents and their kids, as they tend to keep their lives private.

Many were wondering why Eva hadn’t made any public appearances alongside Ryan on the pink carpet, and Eva put any speculation about the strength of their relationship to bed, writing in an instagram comment that they simply value their privacy and keep their professional lives separate.

Now Eva has been sharing their attitude to parenting too – explaining that her and Ryan don’t let their daughters Esmerelda (aged 8) and Amada (aged 6) use the internet.

On Instagram last week, Eva shared a gif of herself shaking her head and her finger, captioning the meme “When my kids ask me if they’re old enough to go on the internet, social media or anything requiring wifi.”

Instagram users began a discussion in the comments about how to handle internet use with children.

Some disagreed with Eva keeping her children from the web, with one user writing, “We are in the internet century so eventually everyone will need or want to access the internet sorry”.

Eva was quick to respond, “Yes true, but in my house, children do not have access to the internet. It’s too dangerous. Just like drinking or voting or getting a driver’s licence (etc..) isn’t allowed for children, the internet falls under that category for me. Especially social media.”

Eva went on to say, “I’m just sharing what I feel now, but I know it’s gonna get harder as they get older”.

She noted that her and Ryan’s decision is subject to change too.

“I’ll have to see where it goes – for now, I’m observing them and keeping up with research about how social media can impact a child’s brain. I’m taking it stage by stage.”

In another comment, the actress added that her kids do get screen time, watching and making films on their iPad.

We wonder if they’re hoping to be famous actors like their mum and dad…adorable!
