Everything Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Happy BHW

It’s the Bank Holiday Weekend!

Or BHW, if you will.

You’ve probably got a whole host of things you’re eager to do this week.

Make reading this list one of them.

Head of Digital Jade is loving… A gorgeous winter coat

Cold days are officially upon us, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll want a good winter coat to take you from October to (let’s be realistic) April.

I recently got my hands on a beautiful wool coat from boutique store Jigsaw, and I am legitimately obsessed.

The Wool Maxi City Coat (in brown, obviously) has quickly become my wardrobe staple for 2024. It’s classic, it’s warm, it goes with genuinely any outfit I have… and I’ve been getting compliments on it all week.

Jigsaw’s A/W collection is here, and it’s full of gorgeous pieces you’ll keep for years and years. Truly, an investment worth making.

My friend Niamh Branigan has produced an incredible short film, SPEAK NOW, and it’s a must-watch. Written by Dermot Malone, this Irish film tackles the issue of organ donation. Although we’re all considered donors in Ireland unless we opt out, our next of kin can still veto our wishes, leaving people in need without life-saving organs.

Inspired by her father’s place on the donation list, Niamh’s personal connection makes the film even more impactful. SPEAK NOW urges us to have important conversations with our families about our wishes. It’s beautifully made and carries a message we can’t ignore.

Digital editor Bronwyn is loving.. A beautiful blush

Blush blindness? Never heard of her!

I want to be pink. I want to give Sabrina Carpenter a run for her money when it comes to blush. There is no such thing as too much blush. Never.

And if I get to big up an Irish brand then yes please. I am the biggest fan of BYSK’s Liquid Blush. Oh, and there is currently a warehouse sale on their website so you can go wild! You can find out more here.

Jade is loving… Winter getaway ideas

If there’s one thing I can’t do without, it’s a holiday.

I like booking them, I like having them on the horizon, I (obviously) like going on them.

With the cold months here, choosing the perfect holiday destination is paramount. I want somewhere with sun, somewhere close (enough) to Ireland, somewhere I’m going to have an absolute ball.

And lads, it’s looking like Madeira might just be the place.

The island rose in popularity during Covid, and has slowly become one of Europe’s most sought after winter destinations… and with good reason.

It’s a mere 3 and a half hour flight from Dublin, they’ve got good weather all year round, and it genuinely just looks like a paradise.

And when I do book my trip, I’ll definitely be checking out Savoy Signature Hotels. The collection of resorts, boutique hotels, and wellness retreats cater to every travellers’ needs, are of the highest quality when it comes to hospitality, and just look genuinely gorgeous.

Check out The Reserve – it’s the ultimate stay for luxury and comfort. Find out more here.

Bronwyn is loving… Italian food

There’s nothing better than a nice meal out. And as the festive period approaches, we’ll be spending time out and about shopping for the big day.

So why not pop into Arnotts in the heart of Dublin where they have just opened Kitchen Italian by Gourmet Food Parlour?

A hearty pasta, a delicious pizza or a scrumptious salad will take the edge off after a big shop. And of course you can treat yourself to a signature Italian cocktail – Aperol Spritz anyone?

You can find out more here.

Jade is loving… Kiko coming to Dublin

@stellarmagazine #KIKOMilano is officially opening on Dublin’s Henry street – this week! 🪩 we got a sneak peak of the new store and it’s stunning. The pigment in that eyeshadow – wow 💜 #fyp #kiko ♬ Come Check This (Quickie Edit) – FETISH

A few makeup brands tend to dominate the Dublin scene. Mac, Charlotte Tilbury, NYX, and more recently, Sculpted.

But a new brand has just landed onto Henry Street, and it’s about to give every major brand a run for their money.

KIKO Milano has just opened their first ever Irish store and it’s safe to say, I am obsessed.

Team STELLAR got a sneak peak of the shop this week, and it’s stacked full of glossy lip products, gorgeous palettes, skincare, fragrances, and so much more.

And it’s super reasonably priced too. 3D Hydra lip gloss for a tenner? I’m listening.
