Happy Friday, happy weekend!

July is almost over, which is mad. What’s also mad is the amount of things we’ve been enjoying this week.

…An Irish Filipino feed

A new opening in Dublin is always exciting – and it’s even more exciting when it’s the first of its kind.

Kaldero has officially opened its doors just off Grafton Street. It’s the first Irish Filipino restaurant in the country, and it’s got a menu that is probably one of the most impressive out there at the moment.

Tempura oyster mushrooms, stir fried mussels, squid, crispy aubergine omelette and an extensive cocktail menu… it’s next level, and it’s all worth trying.

Kaldero have also got (as above) a lot of veggie and vegan options, so there’s something for everyone who dines there.

Try the oyster mushrooms, you won’t regret it.

If you know me, you know I love a new skincare routine.

A fresh cleanser, a new serum, a moisturiser that’s going to leave my skin feeling soft and bouncy – I love it. And I love Dr Sam’s range of ‘flawless’ skincare too.

The Northern Irish dermatologist developed her skincare system based on over 20 years experience, and now has her own London based clinic, and gorgeous range of products suitable for any and all skin concerns.

I’ve been using her Flawless cleanser and SPF this week, and even though I’m only a few days into my Dr Sam journey, I’m already loving the experience.

Hotels are notoriously expensive in Ireland these days, especially in Dublin.

So when a new spot opens that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for a night’s stay in the city centre, it’s a decent enough addition.

CitizenM had their official opening this week right next to St Patrick’s Cathedral. The new boutique hotel, already present in Europe, America, and Asia, prides itself on “affordable luxury.”

With super king sized beds, wall to wall windows, iPad room functions, a breakfast buffet, and the “world’s fluffiest pillows” (we’ll be the judge of that), it’s a handy little central spot – ideal for a city break as you explore the area.

… Simple beauty

With the weather being how it is (hot, humid, and muggy), wearing a full face of makeup can be a bit of a chore.

Full coverage foundation is a gal’s worst enemy in the heat… especially when you’re a gal who sweats as much as I do.

… A gorge coffee

We recently tried Cafe Nero’s new matcha range and honestly, it’s divine. Matcha is having a moment right now, and it can be often hard to find a good one that isn’t coming from an actual matcha bar.

Cafe Nero have got two new drinks on their menu: vanilla matcha latte and strawberry and vanilla matcha latte – both available over ice.

We had a few sips of the strawberry one there this week, and it was unreal. So refreshing, so tasty.
