Everything Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Spring has sprung

Could it be? Sun this week. And a lot of it too.

We’ll take what we can get at this stage, honestly. We’ll also take a week full of nice things we’ve been doing and loving.

… Tats for mams

It’s Mother’s Day month – and what better way to show her how much you care than with a tattoo?

Moonpig have teamed up with the Heartbreak Social Club to give away complimentary fine line tattoos next week ahead of Mother’s Day.

The takeover returns for an expanded two-day celebration on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 March from 11am-7pm at Heartbreak Social Club, where a number of people will get the chance to show their mams just how much they love them.

There’ll be free tattoos, flower installations, and even some prizes to be won along the way.

Tattoos are first-come, first-served, as limited slots are available. Early arrival is encouraged to avoid disappointment, so if you fancy getting inked, you know what to do.

Team STELLAR might even be along to get a tattoo of ourselves. Who can say?

… Blurring balms

In need of a makeup product that’s natural, radiant, and entirely transformative?

Enter Laura Mercier Tinted Blur Balm: a product perfect on fresh skin, under a fuller face, or even as a top up throughout the day.

The first-of-its-kind transformative balm to powder tint smooths across skin to deliver a natural matte, soft-focus finish that lasts absolutely ages (can confirm).

The new product comes in eight matte shades, including light-diffusing pigments to create a gorgeous finish, and peptides to refine texture over time.

Even the oily gals among us can use Tinted Blur Balm, and make their skin look like their own – but better.

You can buy Laura Mercier Tinted Blur Balm now.

… Good Irish food

If you’re doing some shopping this weekend, why not pick up a few Irish brands on your way?

Back in 2021, Tesco became the first retailer to partner with Love Irish Food, and now they’ve got a whopping 900+ of their products in store.

And lads, the bits are delicious. We’re talking old favs like O’Donnell’s Curry Sauce and McCambridge Bread – true staples in the kitchen.

And then there’s newer brands like Chimac Korean Hot Sauce, Blanco Niño Tortilla Chips, and Foods of Athenry’s Granola.

Delicious, honestly.

… Skinfluence

Spring is finally here, but that doesn’t mean we’re still struggling to calm our winter skin meltdowns.

I don’t know about you, but my skin has been *struggling* these past few weeks. It’s been dry, flakey, and generally super dehydrated.

That was until literally three nights ago when I started using Kiehl’s new Ultra Facial Meltdown Recovery Cream, and legit, my skin has looked and felt incredible since.

The medicated face cream contains colloidal oatmeal, a super-ingredient that helps ease conditions including eczema, severe dry skin, itching and irritation.

It also helps protect the skin from aggressors from first use, and locks in a serious amount of moisture.

My skin is soft, plump, and hydrated, and honestly, it’s been a long time coming.

… Egg x croissant

Easter is about a month away, and if you haven’t yet decided what egg you want, what have you been up to?

If you’re looking for some inspo, look no further than Lidl’s Easter egg range… and specifically, their Belgian Chocolate Croissant Egg.

Yep, the bakery fav has gotten an Easter glowup and it’s only divine. A golden white chocolate shell with biscuit and shortbread pieces throughout, and finished with a chocolate drizzle.

If croissants aren’t your thing, there’s also a Belgian Chocolate Doughnut Egg, featuring milk chocolate topped with fudge and a caramelised coating, or Hand-Decorated Áine’s Irish Chocolate Eggs for something a little more luxurious.

Eggs for days.

… Drinking whiskey (as a woman)

International Women’s Day is happening this week, and what better way to celebrate than with a little tipple of whiskey?

Except, women are vastly underrepresented in the whiskey world, despite making up 40% of drinkers in the US.

To highlight this, Irish and female owned Foxes Bow Whiskey have released a limited edition whiskey bottle missing 40% of its contents – and the result is fairly striking.

Co-founder Alice Carroll says the whiskey isn’t missing by mistake, but on purpose.

“We reduced the whiskey in the bottle by 40% on purpose,” said Carroll. “It’s 40% less – because women still don’t get the same say in whiskey. We’re clearly here as drinkers. What’s missing is equal power.”
