Fans Are Convinced That Gemma Owen’s Mum Is Not Happy With Luca

We're taking that as a seal of... rejection?!

Looks like Luca might be in the dog house with Gemma’s Mum before they’ve even met.

Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have been one of the villa’s strongest couples from early on in the series, but now it looks like Luca could be on course for a bumpy ride when it comes to meeting the parents.

Love Island fans are speculating that 19-year-old Gemma’s mum might not be too keen on the fishmonger, after a comment she made on fellow contestant Tasha Ghouri’s Instagram page.

27-year-old dancer Tasha has been getting a bit of a hard time in the villa from 23-year-old Luca and fellow islander Dami Hope, with some viewers going as far as comparing the treatment to bullying.

After the controversial game of “Song, Marry, Pie” which aired on Monday night, viewers saw Tasha pied by both Luca and Dami, as well as Davide. After appearing to become visibly upset, Luca and Dami defended their actions by informing Tasha it was “just a game”.

Fans immediately took to Twitter to cristcise the two boys’ behavoir, and they weren’t the only ones with a thing or two to say.

Gemma’s own mother, Louise Owen, took to instagram to show support for Tasha, by commenting under a post on the dancer’s page saying “I hope Tasha is ok, I feel it’s close to bullying now which is so sad to see.”.

The comment prompted fans to question whether Louise approved of Luca, taking the words as a “seal of rejection”.

It remains to be seen if Luca will be able to win the Owens back over, but it looks like family day will be an interesting one this year!
