There's only one person who can be responsible for this

Companies have reported a huge increase in feather boa sales and searches in the last week, and there’s a very specific reason why this is.

Last weekend Harry Styles debuted a brand new era in the form of a feather accessory and people (mostly me) haven’t recovered since. Shaking his hips in a leather two-piece and contrasting mint boa during his groovy performance of Watermelon Sugar, Harry didn’t just stop the iconic content there. He showed up later on in the evening in two more looks, both of which were accompanied by his pièce de résistance, a lilac and black boa, and people simply could not get enough.

People are so obsessed in fact, that they’ve been rooting through costume boxes and grabbing their debit cards to make a few purchases. Since the evening, PrettyLittleThing told Capital that searches for ‘feather boas’ have increased on their site by 4900%, and 1329% worldwide.

Speaking about the spiked interest, PrettyLittleThing commented:

“Search demand for feather boas skyrocketed by 4900% in just a matter of hours following Harry Styles’ debut Grammys performance”

“This isn’t the first time Styles’ has rocked the fashion world. From pairing pearls with knitwear, wearing sequins and glitter, or sporting a yellow bucket hat, Styles’ always creates an increase in demand with whatever he wears, especially with younger generations.”

It seems fans aren’t the only people in love with Harry’s look though, giving a nod to her son’s outfit choice, Harry’s mam Anne shared a snap of herself face-timing a friend whilst both wearing feather boas. Except, Anne’s ‘feather boa’ is actually Pampas grass, but y’know, with searches and sales up so high it’s impossible to get your hands on the real thing these days, so Anne has the right idea.

“When you can’t find your feather boa so pampas grass will have to suffice! #congratsH #thegrammys.”
