The first images have been released of the Irishman’s gripping new war drama, Masters Of The Air and we could not be more excited about it.
The nine-episode limited series, which is set during the Second World War will also feature the likes of Austin Btler (Elvis), Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts) and Ncuti Gatwa (Barbie), while Barry himself will star as Lieutenant Curtis Biddick.

The story follows the lives of the men from the 100th Bomb Group, famously nicknamed the “Bloody Hundredth” as they carry out bomb raids over Nazi Germany and handle the dire conditions of the terrain of the trenches and World War II itself.
It will also explore the psychological and emotional price they had to pay during the war including being wounded, captured and killed.
Speaking about the production, Executive producer Goetzman said: “Masters Of The Air is a salute to the brave men of the 8th Air Force, who, through their courage and brotherhood, helped defeat Nazi Germany in the Second World War.
“Tom and Steven have always wanted to visualise cinematically what our author Don Miller has called, this ‘singular event in the history of warfare’.
“We’re thrilled that Apple TV+ has given us the opportunity to combine the efforts of so many talented people, on-screen and behind the camera, to tell this important story.”
The series will debut its first two episodes on January 26th on Apple TV+ with subsequent weekly instalments running until March 15th.
Barry has made quite the name for himself over the last year particularly for for his performance in Martin Mc Donagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin.
