Glee And Scream Queens Fans Will Love Ryan Murphy’s New Netflix Show

Ryan Murphy, one of the brains behind Glee, Scream Queens, American Horror Story AND American Crime Story has got a new show that is set to land on Netflix in September.

With such a successful catalogue of shows before him, we can’t wait to get stuck into his new one, The Politician.

It’s set in high school and features a main character who will stop and nothing to win, which reminds us of an early Rachel Berry, so it’s got the Glee energy! But it’s quite dark too, so Scream Queens fans will also love it!

Here’s what it’s all about: “Payton Hobart (played by Ben Platt who you may know from Pitch Perfect), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, has known since age seven that he’s going to be President of the United States. But first, he’ll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School.
To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image.”

There’s a pretty impressive cast too, with Lucy Boynton who played Mary in Bohemian Rhapsody as Payton’s rival, and Gwyneth Paltrow as his mom. David Corenswet will River, Payton’s love interest.

Zoey Deutch will play Infinity who Payton enlists the help of as his running mate, while Jessica Lange plays her grandma!
