Golden Globes 2019: 7 Times Last Night’s Show Was Unbearably Awkward
Rami Malek deserved better. That's all we'll say.
The 76th annual Golden Globe awards took place in LA last night, and although there were some amazing, effortlessly glam moments (like Lady Gaga’s literal existence), like with every live show featuring a million people, there were some awkward/cringe-y moments you may have missed. From standard human awkwardness to overheard bitchiness, here are some pretty awkward moments you may have missed.
Lovely angel Rami Malek got snubbed by she-devil Nicole Kidman
Bohemian Rhapsody took home the award for best film last night and when Rami sauntered up on stage with the rest of the cast to claim the award, he was very awkwardly snubbed by Nicole Kidman. Just watch below..

Emma Stone shouted an apology for her controversial role in ‘Aloha’
In the opening monologue of last night’s show, Sandra Oh made a joke about Emma Stone’s controversial character in Aloha, where she played a Hawaiian-Asian character (despite being neither). While talking about the movie Crazy Rich Asians, Sandra said, in praise of the movie, “It is the first studio film with an Asian-American lead since Ghost in the Shell and Aloha.”
When she said it, Emma literally yelled “I’m sorry!” from the audience. You can hear her in this clip.

Everyone’s reaction to hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh’s opening monologue
We love Andy and Sandra, but people were a bit let down by their opening monologue last night, and they weren’t afraid to let everyone know. The co-hosts made a point of not wanting to offend people this year, so instead, they complimented the stars..as a joke. Here are some of the best-worst reactions.
Hooooo boy this monologue is the opposite of good #goldenglobes

When Chrissy Metz got caught calling Alison Brie a bitch on the red carpet
Wouldn’t be Hollywood if things didn’t get bitchy, would it? Well a video has surfaced of This Is Us star Chrissy Metz apparently calling Alison Brie a bitch. She’s since denied it, but audio don’t lie, Chrissy!
