Greg O’Shea Has Revealed What He Did With His 25k Love Island Winnings

It’s not quite as extravagant as we expected

It has almost been two months since Limerick native Greg O’Shea and Geordie lass Amber Gill won Love Island 2019. And what a two months it has been.

Although the two were quickly dubbed the nation’s sweethearts, they decided to call it quits on their relationship, leaving all of us, quite frankly, shocked and upset.

But there is still one question on everybody’s lips, what the bloody hell did they do with that 50k!?

Well, you need ponder no more. Greg has opened up about his winnings during his new RTÉ 2fm slot, revealing exactly with he did with his share.

“It’s so boring, I just saved it,” he said.

Explaining further he said:

“I actually kept it in an English bank account and waited for the conversion rate to improve before bringing it across (to Ireland). I’m a boring old fart like that,”

And what about Amber? Well it seems that Greg’s fellow winner is just as sensible as he, and also followed a similar route of investment.

Speaking in an interview with Closer magazine, Amber revealed her hopes to open up a chain of salons, similar to the one her Aunt owns. “I’ll definitely keep working with my auntie. We’ll still have the salon, and i’ll build from that – the goal would be opening a few more salons together.”

What a responsible pair. We’d be very tempted to spend the winnings on shoes and chicken nuggets, ourselves, so fair play to them.
