It's certainly no Robert or John.

Grimes and Elon Musk had to change their baby’s name in line with Californian law.
The pair who welcomed their baby boy on May 4th, shocked everyone with the incredibly unique albeit quite bizarre name for their newborn.
The name which was originally X Æ A-12, has now been changed to X Æ A-Xii as confirmed by Grimes.
In order to follow Californian law, the pair had to remove the number from the name and instead, opted to change it to Roman numerals which Grimes noted while talking to fans on Instagram as “looking better”.
And so, keeping the name basically the exact same but with different spelling, Grimes and Elon didn’t want to do too much change as they have a special meaning behind the unusual name.

Explaining the choice in a little more detail, the pair noted how they put the name together although, we’re still, if not more confused now.
“X, the unknown variable, Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence),” Grimes started by explaining.
“A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent,” she continued by adding.
The 12 in their baby’s name is also meant to strand for the Chinese zodiac sign of the rat, the year we’re currently in. And so, it’s a bit of a wild one to get your head around but apparently, it all makes sense to those in the know.
