Harry Styles Is About To Make His Acting Debut, But The Film Is NOT What You’d Expect
Nope, it's not a romantic comedy. Or even a comedy.
One Direction fans, make a note in your diaries for July 21, 2017.
Murmurs of Harry Styles’s first acting role have been bubbling for a while now, and it seems the singer has gone for something totally out of left field for his Hollywood debut.
Today it was confirmed that the first stages of filming and principal photography had begun on Harry’s first film, Christopher Nolan’s World War II drama Dunkirk, in which the Directioner will form part of the “ensemble cast.”
While there’s no news on the specifics of his role yet, the fact that he’s part of the ensemble would suggest it’s a pretty small part.
But what he lacks in lines, he’s making up for with fan attention on set, as is evidenced by these fan selfies from the set in Dunkirk in northern France a few days ago:

Also starring in the WWII thriller are Corkonian Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Oscar winner Mark Rylance, and Kenneth Branagh. The film, which tells the story of a group of British and Allied soliders surrounded by enemy troops on the beaches of Dunkirk, will be filmed in France, Holland, the UK and Los Angeles.
Sounds like Harry’s One Direction hiatus is off to a good start…
