Here Are The Drive-In Cinemas Showing Halloween Movies This Year
Looking for a socially distanced activity this Halloween? We've got just the plan for you.
Lads, spooky szn is upon us and with that, we’re going all out for the festivities this year. By all out we mean we’re decorating our house, gorging on sweets and watching every Halloween movie we can possibly think of.
Does that sound like a good plan?
To be honest, 2020 has felt a bit like a scary movie so far this year and so, we’re feeling pretty prepared to spend the season screaming at the telly and peering out from behind our pillows.
And although many activities are unfortunately cancelled this year, including club nights out, Halloween house parties and fancy dress events, we can still celebrate in little and safe ways, like attending a drive-in movie.
Two locations in Ireland are hosting drive in Halloween screenings this year, with all time-classics like Hocus Pocus and Scream on the listings.
Retro Drive-in Movies Leopardstown
First up, the drive in at Leopardstown has a full Halloween bill up at the moment.
We’re talking Scream 1 and 2, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hocus Pocus, Scary Movie and Psycho to name a few.
The screenings start on October 3rd, right up to Halloween night, and you can book online here.
Classic Drive In, Beehive Inn Wicklow
The Classic Drive In is also showing some movies this spooky szn.
Showing two movies on one night only, Hocus Pocus and A Nightmare on Elm Street are on the bill for the night on Friday, October 23. Tickets are on sale now here.
Also returning this year is the highly anticipated and loved Farmaphobia taking place in Fordstown, Co Meath.

The scary factory has put in new adjustments to make sure the whole event is safe and socially distanced.
You can book your tickets in a pod of 4, 5 or 6 people here.
