Guess who’s breaking the internet again? Harry. It’s Harry Styles. Last year fans were sent through a rollercoaster of emotions when it was rumoured that Harry was set to play Prince Eric in an upcoming The Little Mermaid live-action remake, with it later being confirmed that Harry was forced to turn down the role.

Now, Harry is really saying ‘feck Eric, I’m Ariel’ dressing up as the iconic Little Mermaid in new released photos. The pictures have since sent Twitter into overdrive, with memes emerging left, right, and centre. Harry admitted in a recent interview with Capital Breakfast that he was left with no choice but to turn down the role of Prince Eric due to his hectic schedule.

Speaking about the movie Harry said:

“I had a meeting with Rob Marshall, the director, who is the most wonderful man”

“He’s great, and it was just honestly a few things and it just wasn’t… It’s going to be an amazing film.”

Instead, Jonah Hauer-King is set to play the role of Prince Eric. Filming for the remake has just got underway this year following major delays amid the pandemic. It’s predicted that the movie will land on our screens at some point in 2022.

But, Harry turning down the part of Prince Eric no longer matters to fans now that they’ve been graced with boozy Ariel.
