Here’s What Catherine And Elom Have To Say About Leaving The Villa

The pair were voted the least compatible by the public.

Last night’s Love Island has brought shock to the entire villa – with Catherine and Elom being dumped as they were voted the least compatible couple by the public.

The pair were voted out over Scott and Amber, who are in a friendship couple, adding insult to injury. But Catherine and Elom are adamant to continue the connection going on the outside no matter what anyone else thinks! Here’s what they had to say on their way home.

How does it feel to be leaving Love Island?

Mixed emotions but I am happy to be leaving with Catherine. I’m going to miss everyone, especially Lochan and Ouzy, they were my Casa boys and have been such a big part of my journey.

You left as the result of a public vote, were you shocked by the outcome?

I was really shocked because Catherine and I have such a strong connection, everyone in the Villa could see that which is why I think everyone was so surprised with the result. It is Love Island though, so you have to expect the unexpected.

How has your time in the Villa been with Catherine?

I went into Casa Amor with an open mind and I didn’t have a set agenda to speak to a specific girl. As soon as I spoke to Catherine I instantly felt a connection. Going forward from Casa Amor to the Villa, we’ve just been building on that and it feels like we are going from strength to strength so I’m excited to see what’s next for us.

Do you and Catherine have any plans for life outside of the Villa?

Now we’ve left the Villa together, I think our connection is only going to flourish and get stronger. Catherine is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I feel like we’ve been getting closer every single day.

Which couple are you backing to win?

Lochan and Whitney, having seen the dynamic between all of the couples in the Villa, what they have is unique which really stands out.

Which Islanders do you think could still have their heads turned?

I can’t see any couples heads being turned but Scott and Amber are a friendship couple so I’d say those two.

What is your favourite Love Island moment?

It’s got to be meeting Catherine in Casa Amor, that’s my standout moment by far.

How does it feel to be leaving Love Island?

I’m sad to be leaving everyone, I’ve genuinely made friends for life in the Villa who I’m going to miss so much but I’m happy to be leaving with Elom. Not everyone gets the chance to find someone that they have a connection with, so I can’t wait to continue what we have on the outside.

The girls have become my sisters so it was emotional saying goodbye to them but I’ve told them it’s not goodbye, but see you later.

You left as the result of a public vote, were you shocked by the outcome?

Massively, It wasn’t something I saw coming at all. When I heard our names I was shocked because I know what me and Elom have is genuine and we are so compatible.

Initially you explored connections with André and Zach, how was it getting to know them?

The public put Andre and I together which I was chuffed about as I would have picked him anyway. I really enjoyed getting to know Andre, he is such a good person and a total sweetheart.

Zach came in after and swooped in as he wanted to get to know me, he is also a lovely guy so I’m pleased I can count them both as good friends, as well as finding a connection with Elom.

Talk to us about your time in the Villa with Scott?

My connection with Scott was good, we bonded over living in Ireland and it felt right at the time but everything happens for a reason and we weren’t meant to be.

How have you left things with Scott?

It’s all love with Scott, we left on great terms.

What’s next for you and Elom?

Elom and I have something special so I’m excited to see where it goes.

What is your favourite Love Island moment?

All the moments I spent with the girls are my favourite moments and memories I will treasure. The Heart Rate challenge was also a highlight.

Who do you think has the strongest connection in the Villa and could go onto win?

I’d say Ella and Ty or Whitney and Lochan.
