Here’s What The Bridgerton Cast Look Like IRL

Don't let the costumes fool you

We know we can tend to throw the word ‘obsessed’ around lightly sometimes, but when it comes to Netflix drama Bridgerton when we say we’re obsessed, we mean we’re obsessed.

The fluffy period drama has gripped the entire nation over the Christmas time, and is still continuing to make waves now. It is now among the top 5 most-watched shows on Netflix ever, with a hefty 63 million households having gotten in on the Duke and Dutchess’ action.

But, when enjoying the show, sometimes your mind can’t help but wander, thinking about what the cast, many of them new to us, would look like without the wigs, corsets, and sideburns. As ridey as they are in the series, we can confirm that they’re all even ridey-er in real life.

So please, from the Duke and his spoon to the no-shits-given Eloise, find below each cast member how they look IRL.

Phoebe Dynevor AKA Daphne

Kicking things off with the gal of the hour. The very innocent Daphne is playing by actress Pheobe Dynevor, who is in fact the daughter of the iconic Corrie star Sally Webster (more on that here). The 25-year old certainly got her big break in Bridgerton, but she has stared in other shows too, such as ‘Snatch’ and ‘Waterloo Road’.

Regé-Jean Page AKA The Duke

Handsome in the series, handsome in real life. It probably doesn’t come as a huge surprise to you how The Duke looks in real life because he’s one of the few characters who doesn’t sport some serious sideburns or a bouffant. Ruby Barker AKA Marina Thompson

Another character who isn’t subject to too ridiculous of a get-up, Ruby is just as head-turning in real life as her character Marina Thompson is in the series. We’re certain that with those perfect features she permanently has a line of suitors queuing at her door.

Our very own Nicola, being one of the stars of Derry Girls and a Galway native, it’s likely that you’re already well aware of how Nicola Coughlan looks IRL by now. But, just incase you’re not, we just thought you should know that although she could pass as one, Nicola is in fact not a natural redhead as she is in the series, but rather a blonde – iiinteresting.

Johnathan Bailey AKA Anthony Bridgerton

A man whose good-looks are a little overlooked in the series in our opinion, Johnathan who plays the role of Anthony and well, just look at his face. Do we need to say any more?

Keeping things as natural as things got in the 16th century, the character of Siena is played by actress Sabrina Bartlett who, we can safely say is a world-class ride (see above).

Claudia Jessie AKA Eloise

Probably our favourite gal in the series (you have to stan a feminist). The wisecracking Eloise is played by Claudia Jessie, and just as we imagine the character of Eloise be should she have lived in the 21st century, Claudia isn’t a fan of social media and is not a member on any big platforms. Sadly for us the means we can only access her greatness through fan accounts, but hey ho.

Luke Newton AKA Colin Bridgerton

Maybe the best Bridgerton boy? Colin, who is played by Luke Newton seems just as lovely on his Insta as he does in the series, we must protect him at all costs.

The matriarch of the Bridgerton clan. Lady Violet is played by the gorgeous Ruth Gemmell, who is in fact no stranger to period dramas, as she has previously starred in hit series Home Fires.

Polly Walker AKA Lady Portia Featherington

English actress Polly Walker is no stranger to the screen, as she has also play parts in the like of Line of Duty and Mr. Selfridge too.

Golda Rosheuvel AKA Queen Charlotte

Of course, we couldn’t do a Bridgerton roundup and not include the Queen. Golda Rosheuvel, who plays the gorgeous, but slightly scary Queen seems a little less scary irl. When not sporting 10 stone worth of hair and costume Golda tends to go for a more laid-back look.
