Here’s Where We Can Watch The Gossip Girl Reboot

If you’ve spent the last few months excited for the Gossip Girl reboot, you’re not the only one. With all of the sneak peeks flying around, fans of the OG show have been dying to watch the full series when it lands.

But there’s a problem, the show landed in the US on HBO Max last month, but sadly for Irish fans, that streaming service is unavailable in our region.

However, that doesn’t mean we have to scrap our dreams of watching the series – as it’s set to land on RTÉ and RTÉ Player very shortly.

The series will be available to watch this autumn, RTÉ have announced as part of their autumn schedule.

The original show starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Chace Crawford as young, wealthy, socialites in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, all 6 of which fans can watch on the RTÉ Player too.

The reboot will see a new cast take on new characters, while still following the original Gossip Girl format. Lead actresses Emily Alyn Lind playing ‘Audrey’ and Whitney Peak playing ‘Zoya’, along with others, will be haunted by an anonymous Instagram account that is spying on students, almost a decade after the original Gossip Girl’s website became inactive.

The synopsis reads:

“Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl”

“The prestige series will address just how much social media-and the landscape of New York itself-has changed in the intervening years”
