Hey Sanderson Sisters Fans, A Hocus Pocus Sequel Is Coming As Early As 2020
26 years later, we're getting a sequel.
For over two decades now, Hocus Pocus has been the perfect Halloween film. It’s suitable for everyone, has a nostalgic feel and really, it’s just iconic. Finding someone who hasn’t enjoyed Hocus Pocus at least ten times is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Now, the Disney streaming service, Disney Plus, is bringing out a sequel. Yep, we were shocked too! The well-loved original stars our three favourite on-screen sisters, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, as Winifred, Sarah and Mary – three witches who are resurrected from the dead after 300 years, on Halloween night, of course. Now, Jen D’Angelo, who has been hired to write Hocus Pocus 2, is trying to get the sisters back together again.
Although everything seems to be moving pretty slowly, it seems we’ll be sitting down to watch Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney Plus in 2020.
It hasn’t been revealed exactly what the storyline for Hocus Pocus 2 will be, but we’re hoping it’ll be just as iconic as the first, cringe worthy bits and all. Back in 2017, the script was already in motion, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long to see what Hocus Pocus 2 is all about (we’ve basically waited 26 years already).
If you haven’t had your fill of Hocus Pocus this October, there’s plenty of cinemas around Ireland showing the iconic film.
