Hold Up! Did Rihanna Just Throw Shade At Everyone Else At The Met Gala?

Rihanna’s Met Gala look was definitely ‘out there’, but she was the only celeb to arrive at the fashion event bang-on-theme.

Her colourful, voluminous dress was the epitome of ‘Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons’, a theme that screams floral prints and excess fabric.

The 29-year-old singer was hailed the queen of the ball for dressing so on-point, and has possibly just thrown shade at every other celeb who played it safe on the night.

A meme is doing the rounds on Twitter and Instagram which highlights JUST how safe the rest of the guests dressed, by showing a plain, satin dress alongside a photo of a Comme des Garçons outfit.

RiRi liked the meme as shared by Melvin Fenty, and fans are interpreting it as the ultimate throwing of shade. One such fan commented, “Rihanna is such a shady bitch ??? “, while another said, “Rihanna got it right”.

Maybe the rest of Celeb Land will put in more effort next year…
