“Huge Shock”: Simon Cowell Reveals The Real Reason Why He Fainted On Friday

He was rushed to hospital and missed the first X Factor live shows.

Simon Cowell was rushed to hospital on Friday when he fainted and fell down the stairs at his London home. He was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace and taken in an ambulance for a brain scan and various other tests.

Today, the music mogul told the Sun the real reason why he collapsed, and it seems to be an ongoing health issue. “They think I fainted because I had low blood pressure,” he said, “And so I have got to really take good care of myself to sort that out. After all I am a dad and have more responsibility than ever.

“Sometimes we get a reminder that we’re not invincible and this was certainly mine. It was a huge shock.”

He added, “I know I was very lucky I didn’t hurt myself seriously. It could have been a lot worse. I must say, everyone at the hospital were incredible. I’m truly grateful.”

The father-of-one is now on the mend and is expected to appear on the X Factor live shows next week.
