‘I Love You Sam. Forever’ Zara McDermott Shares An Open Apology To Sam Thompson

When it comes to reality tv, there are few couples who stay together for the long run. Made in Chelsea fans were pretty sure that Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson would be one of those couples, until they split after 16 months of dating.

Cheating rumours surrounding the relationship then began, with the Mail Online claiming that Zara cheated on Sam during her time on the Celebrity X Factor last year. “Zara cheated on Sam with someone in the music industry,” a source told the publication. “Someone connected to the X Factor.” Now, Zara has confirmed the news and has shared a public apology to Sam.

“Hey Everyone. I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media”, she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

“A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on. I don’t condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.”

Zara continued, “I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake. I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt. All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever x”

This comes after Sam’s friend and reality star Pete Wicks spoke about Sam and the situation with Zara with the Mail Online last month. “He’s had a rough time recently. If there’s one person that is probably worse when it comes to dating than me, it’s Sam Thompson.”

Pete continued, saying, “Sam overthinks everything – I have never known anyone to overthink like he does. Sometimes I think he can be too nice. He’s made mistakes, he’s made a number of them but he’s a really, really nice geezer and I think sometimes people try to pull the wool over his eyes.

“It didn’t work out for me trying to give things another go… as far as I’m concerned, what goes on between Sam and Zara isn’t really my place to say until they come out and openly discuss everything. But in my opinion, he needs to concentrate on himself and making himself happy. It’s been a rough ride for him. It’s not nice to see someone as down so as what he has been about it but he will bounce back, we all bounce back.”
