‘I Wish We Had Left Together’ Brad Opens Up On *That* Love Island Dumping

He also spilled on what he'd say to Lucinda now if he could.

I don’t know about your feelings, but Brad went up in my list of Love Islanders last night. Of course, it happened seconds before he left. Brad and Lucinda were left at the bottom, as the public’s least compatible couple, and had to make the decision for one of them to leave. Or, of course, for the pair to leave together.

Right off the bat, Brad suggested for Lucinda to stay, and let’s just say she didn’t put up a fight with his suggestion. In fairness, she’s been there for a hot minute, but they’re *in love*.

Brad had plenty to say in his exit interview, including sharing his hopes that Lucinda would have left with him. “On the night, it was one of them situations where, I didn’t want her to leave [with me]. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside. I woke up this morning and I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went. Not being able to speak to Cind, or ask her where she’s at, I want to know how she’s woke up this morning.

“If Cinds leaves single, I’ll be straight in her DMs, I’ll get myself down to Brighton and see if we’re going to go for an ice cream along the beach.”

So, is he already patiently waiting for Lucinda to leave the villa? “Do you wait for like six weeks, hoping that she isn’t [with someone] and then missing opportunities? Or do you rush in and forget about Cind and move on… I’m in no rush. I didn’t expect to find anyone like her in there. To answer that question, I really don’t know.

“My gut instinct would be to wait it out, see where it’s at and continue on, just to see if it was a good thing. It started off more than well. It was unreal. It would be sad not to see how it would go on the outside.”

As hor their place in the bottom three, Brad shared that he was pretty surprised over the outcome. “Me and Cind were faultless. Everyone was commenting on how happy I looked, how happy Cinds was. Cinds was telling me how happy she was with me and vice versa. Everyone could notice it.

“I think if you were to ask the Islanders in there, who is the most compatible couple in there, me and Cind would have been right up there. Especially considering there was friendship couples. Unfortunately, mine and Cinds’ time as a couple got cut short.”

Sharing what he’d say to Lucinda right now if he could, I have to admit, he’s pretty sweet. “Meet us outside the Villa for a chat… ha ha. I’d tell her how I felt this morning and put it out there that what we had was good. Waking up this morning, it was better than what I even thought…

“I got attached to you more than I thought I had and leaving that night made me realise that. But if something can happen on the outside then great, continue that on. But enjoy your experience, you deserve it, you’re a good lass, look after yourself.”

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
