Doireann Garrihy has revealed she’d consider emigrating, if a new opportunity came up in another country.
While she’s currently in no hurry to leave, it’s something that’s been on her mind a lot over the last few weeks.
Divulging a bit more, the 26-year-old said she’d need to have a new job arranged before moving, but would definitely consider heading away for a period of time.
Taking to social media, Doireann said, “I was always such a home bird but since the pandemic I’m like, ‘I will live anywhere!’”
“I love Ireland but I’d love a change of scenery even for a year,” she said. “But I’m too much of a scaredy cat to just go and get a job when I get there, I’d only go if I had something lined up before I left.”
Doireann also opened up about life in lockdown, revealing while it’s been tough at times, she’s incredibly grateful to have been able to work right through, as it’s been a brilliant distraction.

“I feel blessed that I have a job to go to every morning. And then I’m working on something during the day,” she said.
“I’m kept busy which I’m so happy about but obviously the weekends are kind of like, I wish life was normal but look.”
The broadcaster previously revealed the hardest part of this pandemic, has been missing her loved ones.
Doireann and her sisters Aoibhin and Ailbhe are incredibly close, but like most families up and the country, they haven’t been able to spend much time together over the last 12 months due to Covid-19.
Aoibhin is based in Ennis with her husband and two children, and while Doireann and Ailbhe live quite close together, Ailbhe has been settling into life with her newborn son Sean.
Sharing a pic with her sisters, Doireann simply wrote; “Miss the squad.”

Aoibhin, Doireann and Ailbhe were able to spend a few days together last year, in the middle of the first two lockdowns.
It was a very special occasion as they were introduced to baby Sean.
While the proud mum snuggled the youngster, Aoibhin and Doireann couldn’t contain their joy as they cooed over the baby.

“Aunty intros,” Ailbhe simply captioned the pic.
While Aoibhin has two beautiful daughters, Hannorah and Liobhan, this is the first grandson in the family.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, Aoibhin recently said, “Baby Seán is the newest addition and the apple of our eye already.
“We’ve waited a while to have a little boy in the family so Seán is much anticipated and already so loved.”
She added, “Ailbhe is amazing and is a total natural. I’ve already been enjoying some ‘in’ mom jokes with her and it’s so great to have a fellow comrade!”
