I’m A Celeb 2020 Going Ahead And The Irish Star Tipped For This Years Show

The show will look a little different this year.

We thought that all reality TV for 2020 was cancelled but it seems I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here are making the show work despite Covid-19. This is the good news we needed to hear as tbh, we still haven’t got over Love Island being cancelled.

The show will however look a little different. Previously contestants would have been met by family and friends as they exit the jungle, but this will not be allowed.

Also, stars will not be going straight to the five star Versace hotel after they leave, instead they’ll have to fly home straight away so the experience won’t be quite as luxurious as previous years.

As the show is filmed down under it will most likely be down to the wire if it can definitely go ahead but producers at ITV “are in constant contact with the Australian authorities and are making sure everything they do is in line with their requirements.”

“And no friends also means no Versace hotel, where they have always stayed in the lap of luxury. When celebs are evicted they’ll be on the first plane home.”

The program is set to air in the autumn, so there are still a couple of months before we’ll see any bush tucker trials on our screens.

This year also marks the programs 20 year anniversary so ITV will be airing a one-off special to mark the occasion. It will include all the best bits of the jungle since it first aired two decades ago.

According to reports we may see a familiar Irish face in the jungle this year as Maura Higgins is tipped to be a contestant.

The Longford native shot to fame after a stint on Love Island last summer and has since been on reality TV show Dancing on Ice. Her bubbly personality and hilarious one liners would make for great TV in the jungle.
