Ahhh, Pancake Tuesday – our favourite and most fleeting annual occasion. Whether you like to keep it simple with lemon and sugar, go decadent with a thick layer of Nutella, or drown them in maple syrup and a side of crispy bacon, you deserve to treat yourself today.

And there’s only one thing better than pancakes – free ones! We’ve put together a list of the places in Dublin that are flipping pancakes today, including two that are dishing them out for free.

The Stella Diner

Pop up to The Stella Diner in Rathmines any time today and you can get a free pancake plus a topping if you order a main course (while stocks last). The pancakes here are American style, which means they are thick, fluffy, and seriously drool-worthy.

Captain Americas

Also serving up pancakes today is Captain Americas, in both their Blanchardstown and Grafton Street restaurants.

You can enjoy a free portion of delicious pancakes with the purchase of any main course – and if the rest of their menu is anything to go by, they’re gonna be seriously good.

Union Cafe

For just €2 today, Union Cafe in Mount Merrion is serving up classic pancakes with lemon and sugar, and extra toppings are only 50c – what a steal!

If you feel like something really fancy, check out the Crepe Suzette dessert the kitchen has put together, with Cointreau sauce and vanilla ice cream for just a fiver. Divine.

Never mind one pancake, how about an entire platter? From 12pm to 3pm at Mackenzie’s in Grand Canal Dock today you can get a mammoth dish of warm, fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon, mascarpone, fresh fruit, whipped orange butter, berry compote and chocolate shavings.
